Jazz Gunung 2013 supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy




This year Jazz Gunung supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy as a national tourism program that will boost the tourism potential in East Java. This activity is expected to be one of the agenda and also the destinations of Indonesia’s tourism, while also develop Bromo to become a place that more than just a place to see the sunrise.



'Jazz Gunung' is not the biggest jazz but Mount Indonesian Jazz is the 'highest jazz  in world', because for the fifth time back held above an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level, set in mountains Bromo-Tengger-Semeru, open to the sky, as well as presenting a musical composition ethnic jazz, with the them "Beautiful Jazz, Melodious Mountain"


Held over two days, 21 & June 22, 2013, at the stage Open Java Banana Bromo, Probolinggo, East Java. Thousands of pilgrims 'Al-Jahzziah' arriving by car and a motorcycle from the city of Malang, Bali, Surabaya, Probolinggo, Sidoarjo, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Tangerang and others climb to Mount Bromo, wearing a thick jacket complete with accessories gloves and slayer.  On the first day, featuring Lil Widianto Mountain Jazz Fusion, Balawan and Batuan Ethnic Fusion, Bandanaira Duo, Sierra Soetedjo, Blambangan Art School Banyuwangi, and Cantrek. On the second day, Barry appeared Likumahuwa Project, Rieka Roslan, Ring of Fire Project featuring Djaduk Ferianto, idang Rasjidi and Jen Shyu, Kulkul Band, Ethnic Music Group Kramat Madura, and Tahez Komez.


On 21-30 June 2013, Jazz Gunung Indonesia will be presenting Pestaraya Bromo, an appreciation for Suku Tengger who inhabit the Bromo region. Pestaraya Bromo will consists of some series activities, such as Pestaraya Folk Art, Pestaraya Culinary, Pestaraya Jip, Pestaraya Mountain Bike and Art Exhibition. Art exhibition entitled “Art Bromo: Collision of Nature and Culture” will open on June 23, 2013 in Java Banana Bromo Art Gallery. The exhibition, curated by Asmudjo Djono Irianto will feature artworks from Erik Pauhrizi, Fatchurohman, Billy Pujiarto, Joko Dwi Avianto, Kemal Ezedine, Maradita Sutantio, and Yani Mariani Sastranegara.
